The 24-year-old artist from Sveio made her debut in early 2023 with her distinctive voice and R&B sound, inspired by soul, hip hop, and jazz. In October 2023, RÜ released the critically acclaimed debut album La Petite Princesse - a groovy wave of catchy hooks and dark but radiant melodies, adressing societal problems and insecurities and promotes self-acceptance and appreciation for diversity. This was followed by two sold-out concerts at Trondheim Calling in 2024, earning praise from both audiences and critics.
Since then, RÜ has performed a wide range of concerts, including appearances at Salt, Camp Øya, Bergen Pride, Tønsberg Pride, the National Museum, and the Melafestival. Following a series of singles in 2024, RÜ began releasing music from an upcoming album project in the fall of 2025, including the song“Apéritif,” the duet “Night Cap” with EHI, and “The Flash” featuring Indian bassist Mohini Dey.
More singles from the project will be released throughout 2026.
