Fjellvang

Fjellvang has been a sought-after pianist, arranger and composer for many years. Until a five-year stint in the U.S. (2012-16), his work was primarily in television. Coming home to Norway, he started working at the Oslo cultural venue Jakob, gradually resuming his work as a pianist and artist. In 2024, he released the debut album “Songs From The Reading Room” with the trio Fjellvang and a new album with the trio is due in 2026. 

 

The trio consists of pianist/composer Thor-Erik Fjellvang, Jo Fougner Skaansar on double bass (known from his own projects + collabs with Lilja, Ine Hoem et al.) and drummer Hermund Nygård (The Real Thing, Anders Aarum Trio, Hilde Louise Asbjørnsen).
